What should you expect when working with me?
-
#1: Fill Out My Contact Sheet
If you’re interested in hiring me, head on up to my Contact page and fill out the form. I respond to all inquiries within two to three days with the exception of very time-sensitive projects. Once I have a better idea on how I can help you, we can move to the next step!
-
#2: Schedule a Meeting
Depending on your preference, we can discuss the project more over email or hop on a 30-minute video call (such as Google Meet or Zoom). Depending on the duration and complexity of the project, one to two meetings may be needed.
-
#3: Discuss the project
We’ll go over the details of the project, such as your niche, target audience, current pain points, estimated deadline, budget range, and past experience hiring freelancers. I’ll ask you questions about your industry experience, current challenges, and narrow down the scope of the project.
-
#4: Receive a quote
After I have a solid idea of your project, I’ll provide a quote with the proposed deliverables and estimated final price. This step still provides the option to add, remove, or tweak services or deliverables.
-
#5: sign the contract
Once the final quote is approved, either you or I will provide a digital contract .pdf to review and sign before the project begins. I also require a 20% down payment on any project before I begin with the rest paid in full upon completion. The final materials will not be delivered until payment is received in full.
-
#6: Start the project
The contract will have the deliverable sheet with each stage of the process, such as brainstorming sessions, briefing, rough drafting, final drafting, editing, and optimizing for SEO.
-
#7: Complete the project
We’ll execute the project with the outlined deliverable dates. Deadline extensions can be requested by either party, but missed calls and/or constant late communications without prior warning may incur a rush fee.
-
#8: Complete payment
Once the project is completed, I’ll send you an invoice for the remaining amount before sending over the completed materials. All invoices must be paid within two weeks.
-
#9: Testimonial request
If you enjoyed working with me and want to share your feedback, I’ll send you a brief testimonial or case study template to fill out. I greatly appreciate this step, as it helps me secure more work!
I’m available for remote part-time work and freelance contract work — project-based or long-term retainer. I will consider remote full-time for the right position.
